Maritime businesses dominate economic revival.

Rhode Island has 400 miles of coastline rich in marine-based businesses that are driving the state’s economy upward.  The industry is blessed with an extensive maritime infrastructure, supply chains, and over 12,000 employees.

The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation is offering extensive assistance to new marine businesses, including tax incentives and small business loans. The state loves seafaring folks so much, no sales tax is levied on boats registered in the state.
